Love this! I have argued the same things and used similar examples many times. But then the question: How to get people from there to here?

What makes some people care about the fate of trees and refugees and distant oceans, while others just want to protect their "freedoms?" If we need everybody to get on board with change, how do we get them to change? I wrote an "ABC" book to do just that - "Soul Primer, building Blocks of the Soul" - because without Empathy (E is for Empathy) we don't care about others' troubles, without Fearlessness (F is for Fearlessness) we spend too much time worrying about our own physical and financial security, and without Gratitude (G is for.... you guessed it!) we just keep wanting more instead of knowing that what we have is already enough.

It seems basic, but it is so important that we reach a critical mass of people who actively practice the skills that allow them to see the big picture, instead of only their narrow lens on life.
